Once upon a time...

I was very young and I fell in love with drawing. Especially Character Design was my favourite. I loved drawing figures and imagining their story in my mind. And what is weird, even if you  believe it or not is that sometimes i would end up meeting these people. Not all of them, but a lot of them. Some of them even had similar names. I am not special, a lot of creatives have similar experiences. 

After Covid...

I started to listen about ancient Greece and the symbolism behind the myths. How ideas and deep meanings where hidding behind mythology. I knew this was happening with all ancient religions and civilizations. But that was the first time I looked at the story of my land. So I got ispired and started drawing things...and suddenly she was born, in a random drawing i was doing in illustrator. I 

She had no name

I called her the Greek Oracle, because that was her profession. She lookes at this bowl of water and she was giving her predictions.

I decided I want to leave my job

Leave my job on the service field and take my art seriously. So I went job hunting. I sent my Portfolio in a lot of Designer Jobs in Athens.
And something magic happened, I accidentlaly sent my portfolio in a Greek island, called Amorgos.They liked my job and wanted to work with me. At the interview I had a very interesting connection with the HR, it was like we were friends for years.
I was planning to stay in Athens, but something inside me was telling me that I have to go to this island. My instict was hitting red! "Goto this island" said the little voice inside me. And the voice was right!

Is the island of the Ancient Water Oracle in Greece. I didn’t know that until I arrived there.
The ancient oracles were looking at a huge bowl of water and they were giving their predictions.
“wait a second...I think that’s what i have been drawing...”
And maybe the fact that I gave her no name, is because....she is not only one person, but a lot more! Because, there were a lot of oracles here. Probably a coincidence...or not.

If there is no meaning behind those coincidences and if it's us humans that want to give meaning to things, then I will give it as much meaning as I want, unappologeticaly. (Sceptics and Nihilists, you can choose your meangless path and let us, the weird people choose ours!)

And that’s how The Greek Oracle was born.

My first, enamel pin collection with the title “lost in the Archipelagos”  is clearly inspired by my life in the island of the Oracle. The will be an animation in Youtube soon that will complete the concept of "Lost in the Archipelagos".

Behind the Design

There is always a story or maening behind my designs, that I will display in the website, youtube channel, tik tok or instagram. An oracle, doesn’t only see the future, but also looks deep inside the present.
So I decided to make my pins with symbolisms. So that we can decorate ourselves with meanings. In my website I have a tab called “Behind the design”, that you can read about the meaning of every pin I design.
